Job Description

We are looking for a qualified IT Technician that will install and maintain computer systems and networks aiming for the highest functionality. You will “train” users of the systems to make appropriate and safe usage of the IT infrastructure. A successful IT Technician must have a thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware and a variety of internet applications, networks, and operating systems. The ideal candidate will have great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail. The goal is to build and maintain updated and efficient computer systems and networks to optimize the role of technology on business sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, resolve and follow through on computer malfunction, and meet the needs of the end-user
  • Troubleshoot and repair/maintain basic server issues, both hardware and software for servers physical and virtual with support from Corporate Office
  • Identify causes and recommend solutions
  • Consult with End-User and Managers to determine system requirements
  • Must act as a subject expert for staff and end-users during troubleshooting, be their go-to IT person
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision, shows great accountability
  • Willingness and desire to learn
  • Excellent communication skills among departments
  • Provide timely status reports as needed to IT Manager at Corporate Office

Technical Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge and experience in Desktop Systems
  • Windows 7, 8.1, 10 troubleshooting, management, and setup
  • AV and Malware related troubleshooting and resolution
  • Network Printers and/or Scanner troubleshooting and setup
  • Basic knowledge and experience with TCP/IP
  • Basic knowledge with firewalls / routers / switches / APs
  • Basic knowledge with Microsoft Cloud Solutions – Office365
  • Basic knowledge with Windows Server 2008 R2 and newer
  • Basic knowledge with Active Directory

General Skills

  • Ability to move equipment, install PCs, monitors, printers, and peripherals in a business environment
  • Willingness to unbox, stage and inventory equipment
  • Flexible/Adaptable – most customer support will be during normal office hours, but there will be some after-hours support in the evening, weekends and/or Holidays for critical projects or emergency situations.
